Faster International Galaxy Note 4 Now Available in U.S.

The Galaxy Note 4 is set to hit all major US carriers this coming week, in addition to an international variant available now with an Exynos 5433 chipset.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is set to hit all major U.S. carriers this coming week. While AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and others prepare to stock Samsung’s highly anticipated new phablet, Amazon is offering the faster octa-core variant, unlocked and off-contract. SamMobile reports, “Amazon is selling the international 32 GB model (SM-N910), with the black version priced at $854.88 and the white version at $868.99.”

But buyers beware: SamMobile notes that this option does not include a warranty for the phablet. The 32 GB variant is an import and it will not work on CDMA networks such as Sprint and Verizon, likely explaining why the device is not covered with a warranty.

8-Core Galaxy Note 4 for U.S. Customers

This international Galaxy Note 4 supports all the previously reported features and functions. However, it is powered by a completely different processor, the Samsung octa-core Exynos 5433 chipset, whereas the Note 4 deploying to U.S. carriers this coming week will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset.

Snapdragon 805 Versus Exynos 5433

The international variant of the Note 4 is more expensive than other devices currently on the market, but it may be worth the cost for some users who have a need for more speed. According to Android Authority, the octa-core Exnyos 5433 can outperform both the Snapdragon 801 and 805 found in the U.S. version of the Note 4. Using the popular benchmark AnTuTu, the 805 received a score of 37780, while the Samsung Exynos 5433 processor clocked in at 40303, falling just behind the NVIDIA Tegra K1 chipset.

Back when the Note 4 was first announced, it was unclear which processor would power the 5.7-inch metal phablet. Now it appears that both are being used, albeit with partial exclusivity for different markets.
